Oh they're definitely registered. They use their BARs, Thompsons, Grease Guns, and .30 cals all the time at reenactments.
So since they are registered, the actual seller doesn't have to have a Class 3 (and other licences) to sell it to me as long as we do the transaction through a Class 3 Licenced dealer?

Manstein, your MAS36 looks like a toy
It's surprisingly small when you compare it to any of the other rifles I own, it's actually shorter in length than my SKS

Yep, Just find a local class three dealer and he'll set you up. For a fee of course.

Just bought a 1936 MAS, 1916 SMLE, and 1942 SMLE. I'll get pictures up after I get them. I'll also throw in pics of my M39.

Just picked up a Finnish M91 at an antique store for 145 dollars
Awesome looking Finnish 91 you got there, complete with the tsar crest!
How is the bore? Is it a shooter or a wallhanger?

Thanks for the info guys! However, this probably won't happen for another couple of years seeing as how I'm only 18 right now, and I probably won't have the funds until I'm 26 or so (unless I take out a loan for it). Once I get one I'll post pics, and I am serious when I say "once" because I'm dead set on getting a BAR!

oh snap, surplus rifle has a forums? joining... I mean, where else would you learn how to field strip and clean an SKS/ m59/66, K98k, Lee-Enfield, and M1911A1 (learned with mine already) and be able to remember how to do it, all without actually owning one? btw, nice nagant revolver, whoever.

Surplusrifle.com is basically shut down and the forum there has been pretty much dead for almost a year from what I can tell. Paralax Bill is also a good forum.
Either of the three is a goldmine of gun information though and a great gathering of like minded folks.
