I hope you don't take it amiss if I asked you to sod off and die.

I would HATE to see some other ****ing flashy-chrome-elite-high-tech gun in the game.

Are you for real? Because it's a chrome revolver almost like the one from MW2 it shouldnt be in there? If anything this is to fix a style that MW2 ruined. jesus, if you are willing to add a revolver only under the circumstances that it has a blue finish then why are you bothering to pick what type of revolver it is?

Uh.........

When did I EVER say "blue finish"?

I bet on the :IS2: that I never suggested a blue finish. I suggested some classic-looking revolver. Preferably with a wooden handgrip and black finish.

And my reason against chrome is the fact that all the KF weapons looks a little same-y. If there were to be at least another weapon that wasn't all modern and chrome, it'd be different and it'll give some cosmetic variety. C:

Fair enough, but uhh... guns that are colored black, are usually in blue finish. Black finish are the ones with a dark grey on them, almost a synthetic look.

well seeing how I'm such a gun enthusiast that it's disturbing, but I love talking about guns!

By classic, you mean N-frame revovlers such as these?

And in this one http://www.nzaaawgtn.org.nz/images/a10/it10_112.jpg to get things a tad cleared up, number 1557 is in a black finish, number 710 is in blue finish.[/URL]

Voted no. Like Shambler said, it's a Sharpshooter, just with only pistols.

Its perks seem to be useless filler (Increased Zed) or inexplicable defenses (Siren resist). It's creative for sure, and while it sounds nice, it just seems like creating a perk because it seemed cool.

Just how is this anything like SS? Because it uses pistols? SS should have never gained any bonuses to pistols in my opinion, because the way I see it, he is the sniper in the game. He already got crossbow, ebr and lar so where does he need hand cannons? Not to mention everyone uses dual wield which is far from accurate = not sharpshooter.

So basically, this perk would bring SS down to where he belongs, being the groups sniper, not overpowered commando.

A perk focusing on dualwieldable pistols is not accurate by any means, which makes him the opposite of sharpshooter. I agree that the revolver is too much, but if you replace it with automatic glocks like suggested in the very beginning... We'd have a quick midrange perk capable of doing moderate damage. I love medic and zerker for their speed so another perk like this would be awesome. Ofc not as fast as those two but you get the idea.

So what differentiates that from commando?
[EDIT: I anticipate one response may be "it's a convenient midway point between the two". I should point out a counterexample: the axe, knife, sword, and chainsaw all have unique properties (the knife's being of course that you spawn with it) that make them worth consideration, while the machete which on paper is an entirely reasonable compromise is just vendor trash. What is distinctive about the function of the gunslinger that doesn't make it a machete between commando and SS?]

(and for what it's worth maybe I'm just crazy but I use the pistol sights all the time - the 9mm has just as good an effective range as any of the big guns for some reason)

Nice comparison but thats not exactly the same thing.

I see gunslinger as a hit and run perk, but with more range than the berserker, more speed than sharpshooter or commando, but less overall firepower than any of those 3 (except that berserker uses melee weapons). He would be weak against bigger targets but strong against smaller ones and even groups by some extend, yet not as good as support in crowd control. Still, fast reload and moving speed makes him effective perk, yet not overpowered.

Weapons:
- 9mm
- Handcannon
- Perhaps some new type of pistol with unique attachment
- Some kind of machine pistol (good for quick crowd control but runs out of ammo very quickly)

Bonuses at level 6:
- 15 or 20% faster movement speed(berserker has 25%)
- 50 or 60% faster reload speed (SS has 60% reload speed bonus for his weapons so I guess thats reasonable enough?)
- 30% more ammo (actually this is kinda hard to define without seeing all weapons first)
- 20% larger clipsize
- 50% more damage (SS has 60%, commando 50%)

Im not sure if weapon discounts are required since pistols are usually rather cheap, right?
Also I dont think recoil reductions are needed because thats sharpshooters territory, and pistols have naturally
low recoil.

Abilities at level 6:
- 50% resistance to siren screams (this would be extremely useful imo!)
- No screen shake on siren screams (also very useful on tight situations)
- Will not be slown down while using iron sights. The moving speed bonus doesnt affect on this ability.
AND MAYBE
- 50% less falling damage (but this is more like something I hoped berserker to have, just for quick escapes)

IF all this doesnt make Gunslinger unique, useful and different from other perks, I dont know what does... >_>
