I don't know why many OC remixes usually ends up being more horrible than you can imagine.
I can even play half of FF7 (and some FF8) musics beter with my mouth-organ than those guys could mix their OCs.

Because they're techno remixes, because techno is the only genre where your samples can sound literally like ANYTHING, not always instruments and not always pleasing to the ear, your melody can be looped until it loses all emotional impact and famous work can be tarnished by turning it into a "House" beat and you're still operating within the safe zone of your genre.
Techno can be a very free and expansive environment for new musicians to experiment with writing complex music and it can bring beautiful things to fruition, but it's also the /b/ of the Music world, so beware.
