Well I guess I can add my freezing up woes to this thread.
Downloaded the game from Steam, ran it and when I get to the screen where you can choose which side you want to fight for I get a feedback sound from my sound card and the computer freezes up. I have to hard boot to get the computer started again.
I've gone through everything listed throughout the tech support forums. I've followed the steps outlined for those that can't start the game at all. I've lowered hardware accelaration for both sound and video. I've defraged with Diskeeper, readjusted my page file. I've been at it since 8:00AM this morning, now 5PM with a 3 hour break
.....and I've only had it run fine for about one hour, then...it froze. Then when I try to get back into the game it freezes again
.
System temps are good, I've got the following system...no overclocks:
AMD A64 3000 754pin with a Zalman Cu Cooler.
X800XL ATI card AGP with a Zalman fan.
Soundblaster Audigy ZS card, but I've also turned that off and used my Terratec EWX24/96....BTW I've disabled sound and I still get freeze up.
DFI Nforce3 250Gb Mobo.
1.5G PC3200 Crucial Memory
80G Maxtor IDE 7200 drive/250G Maxtor SATA drive
All the drivers are up to date. The computer plays IL2 Forgotten battles/Pacific Fighters without a flaw.
I really enjoyed my hour that the game was running...but if this keeps up...well I'm not a happy camper
.
So, anybody.....help!
