Have you edited anything in your ini files? Or tried deleting them and trying new ones? I'm trying to repro this on our low-end machine and I'm not getting it.

My machine is not low-end, Core 2 Duo E8500 at 3,8GHz, 4GB RAM and a Radeon HD 4870x2. I just need to run the game on lowest settings (except shadows to prevent crashing) due to the performance issues in the game.

This maybe relates to this bug in Red October Factory?

I have made a couple of tweaks to the ROEngine.ini file trying to prevent crashing.
