Why is MG42 not available to hero Allies

There are some bugs with the MG-42 and we are trying to get them addressed before the next update (some may not make it).

We are also looking at some gameplay changes to the MG-42 (and we are looking at some possible changes to mg's in general) but those are highly unlikely for the next patch at this point.

What's your point? That at 800 rpm a 2 round burst takes .15 seconds and at 1200 rpm, it takes .1 sec?

Besides, I can google too! And the ROF I see for the MG 3 is 1000-1300 mostly.

Thanks Vermis for the post, it's refreshing to see someone who has spent significant time with an actual mg give their opinion regarding the weapons in game. It's far more valuable than the conjecture we armchair infantry throw around.

Well I think that's rude, (not really an armchair mate) I'm a German reenactor my group uses MG42s and they Fire damn fast

The MG3 has many variants
One fires at 650 rpm
Two fires at about 900-1100
A third variant fires at 800-900 rpm
The gun is significantly lighter than the MG42 (which is almost impossible to lug around)

The one I used did 1150 rpm and weighed almost the same as the MG42 at around 11,5 kg. The MG3 is not significantly lighter than the MG42 and it's quite luggable.

I don't know where you get your info but it's incorrect.
