who's testing the beta?

i was just wondering who all is testing the beta now? i rarely see anyone i recognize on the servers.

I downloaded the client today at work, and completely forgot to bring it home! One of those days unfortunately

Not me. Three nights of frustration and not getting in game.

Monday night: got the download. Saw instructions about connecting directly to servers (with IP addresses) but had no idea how to do this. Didn't find out until the next day about the "~" key.

Tuesday night: suddenly my mouse click wouldn't work in the menu or in the game at all. Couldn't do anything. Tried rebooting, reinstalling. Luckily Yoshiro responded to my post and told me to delete my config folder. That worked. But I didn't have time to play.

Wednesday night: waited an hour for it to download the latest version of the beta. Connected - success!! Played for about 20 seconds before getting a "speed hack detected!" message and session ban. Nuts.

I jump in when I can and I connect through the Steam Server browser without difficulty. Make sure to change filter to show RO2 Beta. Right now there is 34 people playing mamayev in the Cold Steel server.

I was beta-testing for a while, yesterday. I believe "The Beast" server is running with realism settings but I could be wrong.

I have been, my in-game name is Frizz. Such a good map Mamayev. Just played with 50-60 people. So much fun even with 200 ping.

It's easy to tell who has been testing - look in the beta testing forums here and Deere who is Pissing federal and bug reports.

There is some difference between "playing" and "testing"...

The refinements are welcome but hardly gameplay changing. TWB needs to go realism ASAP. Mamayev is great - has an arrangement like some Ost and many DH maps. Native voices ARE AMAZING! THANK YOU! Instantly it feels more like the war and less like I'm at the cinema.
