Victory conditions? Tie Breaker?

Could someone please explain the exact victory donditions, because the tutorial video doesn't explain much and sometimes people are just surprized by an outcome that nobody on the server can explain. That's mostly when that „tie breaker“ occurs, but what exactly are the conditions for that?

I give you a concrete example I just experienced. Playing on Hue on the american side. Team fails to capture [C]. Timer runs out and americans win. Everyone is like wtf...

The simple answer is that the server is set up to award victory of tie's by total score and not by playing another round.
(For the life of me I can't find that specific setting in the web admin at the moment)

In this case, I'm assuming the Americans won the first round and the PAVN the second. And the end announcement was that the Americans won causing everyone to go wtf?

If that is the case, PAVN won the round but lost the match.

My team won the first round on the vietnamese side. The second round on the american side was lost, while running out of time when trying to capture C. When the timer ended the announcer voice called out victory and that was the confusing thing.

with these default server settings, in case of tie (1-1) the total score decide the winner
