TWEAKING: Still can't get the robot voice to talk

As pre the Tweak Guide:

Robot Voice Reads Text

bNoTextToSpeechVoiceMessages=true

Change that to false in the User.ini


I went into the user.ini and changed the setting for the voice to read the typed chat from True to False (it is a negative statement).

But the robot voice still does not appear.

Any thoughts?

The text to speech in UT2004 is provided by Microsoft's text-to-speech package.

Do you still have UT2004 installed? If not, you can try downloading the package directly from MS: http://www.microsoft.com/reader/developers/downloads/tts.asp

That might work.

thanks. It works fine in UT, it just does not work in Ostfront.
