After speaking with some buddies about all that's good with RO I figured a ground level post might be the thing to do.

Everyone waits with baited breath for what's next after RO.
This game as it is brings gamers back to what the genre really ought to be, teamwork and workable gameplay.

Whatever the next game will be dont lose sight of what has given the current game a degree of longevity over any other games ppl have played.

The new games come and go.....but RO still acts as a magnet and is uncomparable (thus far) to anything else out there.

I guess my summary wuld be that you guys utilise all that has made RO great for the next eagerly awaited instalment from TWI.

Those are child's play. I think he was stating the fact that the game takes far more skill than any of those other ARCADE games...

Well it's not even that unique, most nights more people will be playing Project Reality mod for BF2. If you haven't played PR dont nag it, because in public PR play there is 100x more teamwork then public RO games.

Anyway I'm 99% sure the next TW game will expand on RO's gameplay rather then make something completely different. Wether it's still ww2 or not I have no idea.

Well the way I understood it was that he meant after all this time ppl are still playing RO and that is uncomparable, which it isn't.

Neither is Red Orchestra soo unique that it would stand out of all shooters, max. 20/100 even know about the game at best. But nvm let's not have this become another discussion like that. thanks

Red Orchestra has stood out for me...I enjoy all those shooters but RO is the only game I've kept installed for two years and have kept playing since. I didn't really realize how long it's been until I thought about it the other day.

Yeah I recently became unemployed and realised how much I enjoyed playing RO and its mods.

Having been playing since the first UT2003 release I can think of no other title that I've played for so long and got so much enjoyment from. I eagerly await news on TWIs next project.

Same thing here.
No single title has shared my platter more than RO.
The nearest concurrent would be DoD but I don't play it.

RO and Firearms mod for half life coming in at second place for my favourite online shooters of all time.

I have not found a single game that has gripped me as much as RO has, sadly i have burned out all enjoyment from it atm.

I really hope TWI follow bring out a follow up for RO, keeping the formula that makes it so special.
