Personally, to add another thought... this game just SCREAMS to me for being made into a major theater release series. Not as glamorous as Spiderman, maybe, but this storyline has a lot of legs and could be pretty damn amazing with the depth of the story, the Hammerites, the Mechanists, etc. Could be very cool.

as does deus ex and system shock- but perhaps to a slightly lesser extent.
All these games are rated for having immersive storylines, so it would be interesting to see how they would rate as movies. It would be a challange because what passes as a mind-blowing concept in video games may not cut it on the big screen, where writing quality is infinately higher.
However i'd still love to see a studio have a go.
Ridley Scott in the chair would be good (thou he's a bit too big time for this sorta thing really)

All three protagonist roles seem to have 'Christian Bale' written all over them.

I only played it on expert (or whatever the highest difficulty is called) and I remember that I stabbed a few of the buggers. The black jack does no good but the dagger proves its value for once (and only once).

You "kill them", but 5 sec later they rise up again.

My mistake. Yeah, the inmates can't be killed. I had the guards from the past in my mind. You can stab those.
