There are a few exponential effect bugs. Like you can get your entertainment down quickly by grabbing all the magazines in a stack and reading them all at once, or rapidly clicking a passenger/hunter to get your Social/Sanity down.

I also seem to randomly hit pockets of low fps for no apparent reason, they last for a few minutes then go away.

I decided to get it since it wasn't very expensive, but I can't download it after I bought it because I keep getting a glorious "Could not connect to steam" error. I think some people have been having problems with steam since the update, I dunno...but I wanna play RO tomorrow + this game.

For the FPS drop, are you talking SP or MP? Haven't had any in MP, but in SP, with bots it's quite normal, for any source game for that matter. Since they are using up more CPU cycles and all.

its very intriguing thats for sure. The only real bug i noticed was the servers seem to crash about every hour or so which can be annoying. But other than that nothing show stopping.

Ive been playin it all day and have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Now I read that there are no AI "innocents" wandering around the ship in this version...is this true?

I'm trying to debate whether or not to get the game...I wish they'd have a free weekend

Its an option to have AI innocents on the ship, the server can set it. I really want to get it because I love the HL1 version, and the only really bad things I have heard about it is because its opening day, and noobs dont know what to do so they just randomly kill everyone

There isn't THAT much random killings, there are other more pressing conserns... hitboxes are TOO BIG, it's hard to pass a person on a walkway, walking water faucet bugs, servers are few and mostly laggy. The game seems really chaotic & repetitive at the same time, wierd.

My first impression - bland, and frankly, a bit boring... hope some new balances / features will move things along a bit.

RIght now, I'll still try to be frustrated and angry at occurrances of stupidity right here, in RO

The "random killing" part was a) it's day 1 and b) the server punishment system wasn't working where you would get warnings/kicks/bans/fines/jailtime/etc for killing innocents.

But I think they just released a fix for that. <3 steam, finally got it to work, about to play...so excited!

I'm hooked! I was up until 4am last night playing. I slept 5 hours, woke up and played some more. didn't even go down stairs for breakfast.

taking out your quarry after a long set-up is a rush!!

Yes, I mean in SP. I'm waiting for the first patch before I hope into MP. Especially since all the big servers only play The Hunt.

They really need to add an middle-ground game type. Hunt is too fast, Elimination can be too slow if you're taken out in the beginning. I'm thinking Double Elimination, where if you're eliminated you get put in a losers' bracket.
