The 10 Perk Icons

I don't understand why is all this hiding of the classes. The customers will get to know their names eventually down the line, so whats the point to hide the names? Just tell us, its not a big deal.

Well withholding this info is how they keep a lot of people eager to hear more and listening out for more about the game, no?

It also gives them more opportunity to give out announcements and bits of news to journos, which will in turn get (potentially) more people interested.

Marketing 101. You have to keep the customer in anticipation. If you keep them talking about your future product, the more anxious they get to try it out.

Do you not care for TWI marketing their games?

I've been thinking more about if "Helmet Perk" winds up being an engineer. It's not my first pick (in regards to what I HOPE it is) but if it did turn out to be the case...

What would an Engineer perk do, apart from taking over the door-welding from Support and probably some kind of deployable gun or trap? Would they build walls, to divert zed paths, give them an obstacle to have to smash through, or turn wide hallways into narrower chokepoints? (presumably, buildable walls would have slots to shoot through on top of that)

Would they lay down hazards like barbed wire or something of a similar purpose, that non-leaping zeds will have to go around or trip over?

What kind of guns would they use? Single handguns? Weaponized engineering tools?

I don't think KF2 needs any marketing :D Its gonna be awesome thats for sure. Hell, I didn't needed any marketing for KF 1 either. After playing the mod I knew KF1 is going to be a blast.

You don't need to be marketed to. But most everyone else does. TWI need to attract and convince as many undecided customers as possible to purchase their product. That's what marketing is about, and I think TWI is doing a decent job with their limited resources as a fully independent development studio.

Yeah, the thing about KF1 was, there were people who tried the game and got REALLY hooke,d and then where were people who only played a few hours and then gave up..

For KF2 to be more than just a cult classic some Hype is definitely warranted. And when people hear what's been teased so far, they ARE definitely interested. You tell people about the gun porn and the dismemberment and all the unique perks and all that, and they get interested. Trust me.

They confirmed in an interview that Support still has welding.

And why would an Engineer perk have a helmet as its insignia? A wrench more likely..

Also, the ability to "build" anything is wrong. Just go visit any custom server that has turrets or anything like that and you'll see why. It instantly destroys active gameplay.

Dragon perk is bladed weapons

Berserker is blunt force weapons

Helmet guy is smg's and cqb stuff

calling it now :)

Yeah now that there's blunt as well as blade they might have split zerker into two like sharpy, but i'm too fond of the idea of dragon using guns loaded with incendiary/dragon's breath rounds while the more flamey stuff is firebug dedicated
Come to think of it, a sticky thermite charge to melt a hole in armoured zeds and open them up for increased damage would be cool
maybe for dragonman, firebug can have molotovs/incendiary grenades :)

as for SMGs - they are already medic territory
but nah man there's hints at there being LMGs, I want my dakka
