Ok....I know the DeathStar is in the game so that makes me happy but what I meant earlier is can you enslave wookies or something? Can you only build ships and fight or can you build up and modernize your planets. Is there diplomacy and resource gathering?

there's only resource gathering to the point of, you build a mine on the planet and it gathers everything you need for you.

No you can't enslave anyone really but the indigenous peoples will fight for you.

you build ships and tanks and stuff and invade systems. All sounds well and good but it is a cookie cutter basically.

Theirs no point comparing the game with dow or homeworld2 because its a totaly diffrent type of game.
Its more like a rtw or something like that kinda game.

The point is its fun and playable hw2 gets boring with its rock paper siccors and dow is so played out.

So stop saying it sucks for crap reasons.

Yes the game would actually be a heck of a lot better if it was more indepth but theirs nothing wrong with a arcade strat game, its must be the first.

I dont think it sucks for crap reasons at all, I think it sucks for many good reasons. Its a unimaginative, boring, 2d space battles when clearly you can make a great 3d space battle game, heck homeworld one came out years ago! Lack of good units. Ground battles graphics look like crap.. it goes on and on.

It was a boring use of 3d that never worked that well
The damage/combat system sucked

I stopped playing the game after getting hammerd in space combat due to the rebels unabilty to kill the bigger arrow things the ones just up from the basic arrow thing.

The single player story mode is the best ive ever played in a strat game equal with act of war simply because you get more freedom of choice.

If you are thinking of buying this dont get galatic galaxsies: dred lords I heard its alot better alothough its a civ type game anyhow

Just played through the rebel campaign. It is quite amusing (even though I normally don't like RTS games) and I think I have spent my money well.
But then, I am a Star Wars Fan ever since I saw it when I was a little kid, so it pretty much only has to include the musical score to make me happy

So if I wanted to destroy every planet in the galaxy could I, or does it take a lot of resources to maintain everytime you use it?

Guess it is onyl available in the Imperial Campaign, and not the galaxy conquest mode. In the campaing, you destroy 5 planets with it, then the whole thing is over.

What he said "basicaly" its a cheap thrill easy to play but isnt a hardcore value for money game and dont even try and compare it with anyother rts or anyother game cause I guess it comes up behind not even short.

Hopefully they'll come out with an expansion that allows you to go on diplomatic missions and such. I was hoping for an indepth rts game that not only focused on battles but also maintaining an Empire/Resistance group.
