Spartanovka - some of the best matches I've ever played

I pretty much like all of the maps, except apartments.

I just wish the Church and Town hall weren't the only buildings you can go in.

I love this map. Had some great last stands while playing Russians defending the hall.

Niether side has any reinforcements left, and we managed to divide our troops, one defending the hall, and the others went to try to cap back the housing blocks, we eventually did, making the Germans get disoriented and take a huge blow to morale and will power ^_^.

I wish we can get in some of those housing block building though, since they are destructable, the commander can destroy them with arty if they become too much of a problem.

Maybe a remake will be community made.

Spartanovka is really fun. Quite a number of times I've seen this go all the to the very end, with both sides having burned through all or almost all their reinforce pool.

Agree completely, definitely my favourite map. Had games that are really close, but also the only times I’ve seen the Russians really push the Germans s**t in is on this map.
Had a game yesterday on 7th Cav server, First round we held the church till lockdown. Second round the Germans took church for about 1 min then we took it back. 2-0 Russia

I also find Red Oktober Factory to be an excellent map for similar reasons, once you are past the finished goods warehouse you can flank everything till the signal box as Russians. Makes for a much more interesting game.

One of the few map that has a bit of RO1 feeling to it.

Definitely the best map for me. The others come nowhere near.

I personally hate it, it's generally not very good but every so often you get a good match out of it.

It's pretty much like all the other maps in that respect, except the good matches are rarer.

should be able to recapture and push the german right back, i was playing russian and we were holding out at the final objective, the germans ran out of reinforcements. And we were like, okay guys, PUSH UP. And a heap of russians start crossing the road into the objective and start capping them only to be stopped half way.

I still don't really like how wide the zones and map limits are around the housing blocks, but it's neat to see how much peoples' opinions of things change when they give them a chance.

My favorite maps so far are Barracks and Grain Elevator.

Yeah, Spartanovka is a good fight - has a little bit of that RO 1 Basovka map feel to it.
