Level Design Slowly Opening Door/Lift

I am building a big elevator to my map. After searching these forums for a while I found out that I should use KFDoorMover - not KFElevator.

The lift works but it goes down far too fast. Where can I adjust how slowly/fast the door/lift opens or closes?

Does it matter anything if the door/lift is controlled by a button which is not near the target?

Go to the KFdoormover properties and change the mover->movetime to something larger than 1. I think this is the number of seconds the mover takes to move.

Also I don't think it matters where the trigger is.

I just triple tried it with different numbers (3, 10, and 100). They changed absolutely nothing.

I also tried DelayTime (five rows above of MoveTime). It only delays the actual moment of movement but does not slow it.

Did this work in your level chewmyheadoff?

Movetime should change the speed. Make sure you're saving it properly or something!

Yea it worked for me, try typing in 3.0 and press enter, then rebuild it. Or maybe you're selecting the wrong mover, make sure you have the actual door selected.

I probably had messed with keyframes too much because when I recreated the lift it worked nicely.

PROBLEM SOLVED.
Answer: KFdoormover Properties->Mover->MoveTime (the number is probably the seconds)

Yeah, I've found that once you set key frames the movers don't respond well to changes. Whenever a mover I created isn't behaving I delete it and recreate it.

Actually, that's how half of my issues in UED get solved.

Strange, I'm glad I don't have mover problems
