I got an idea that some people may want a more realistic looking shark while having the perks of evolutions or even crazier looking ones. So my idea is skins that can be equipped that doesn't change evolutions. The skins don't do anything except change the visuals and let you keep the stats of whatever evolutions the person is currently using for their shark while making the shark look different.
For example some people may want to have bone set stats and abilities but would prefer to play as a great white shark. They could equip a great white skin, look like a massive great white while having the perks of having bone evolution equipped.
