Server Server Browser don't see the server

Need help.

I installed KF2 Dedicated Server v1005 (on date 23.04.2015).

Open ports in firewall: 7777/UDP; 20560/UDP; 27015/UDP; 8080/TCP and check it. All ports open.

But I don't see my server in game server browser. Maybe I missed something?

Are you talking about your WebAdmin or your server not showing up in the in-game server browser? I did notice your WebAdmin running on port 8081 instead of 8080.

I am talking about server not showing up in the in-game server browser.

WebAdmin configured specifically on 8081 and works fine.

Odd, I see it has assigned you a game server ID in the console as well, meaning it should show up. And you have waited at least 5 minutes on the server browser, with all filters open?

All filters open. Wait about one hour.

1) Are you hosting this on your network or is this hosted on a different network?
2) Can your friends see your server?

1) Hosted on a different network.
2) Unfortunately my friends don't buy this game yet, so I can't check.

Try installing the UE3Redist that is in .\Binaries\Redist

That's what wound up fixing the same exact issue for me, showed up once or twice and then just quit showing up.

I have the same problem. All ports open, everyone can connect using "open xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx", doesn't show up on the servers list for anyone (not even me on the LAN tab). Wasn't there a post from the devs about this really not working for some people and that they were working on it?

Add your server in Steam's server browser under favorites. If the ports are open, you'll see the details there. If that works, you'll see the server in game under favorites as well.

If you don't see details in the server browser after adding it, you have an issue with your firewall. Keep in mind that your OS can have its own firewall but if you're behind a router you'll need to forward those ports as well.

The game has been updated to 1006. But at least in my case my servers won't update to 1006, they stay at 1005 like yours is showing in the pic. KF1 one had this same problem of not updating the servers a couple of updates back..admins had to copy files from the client to make the servers work.

I think my server is having a same problem.

You need to run steamcmd and update the app. Works fine as of 10m ago.

If you're on gameservers or something similar you just gotta wait for them to roll out updates.

So it actually updated for you using steamcmd thunderrump? I have tried telling steamcmd to update as well and it just says its already up to date, tried reinstalling the server and same problem. Wonder if tripwire didn't roll out the server side updates in time. I can't get my server to list as of build 1006 as well.....

Update: So running the update tool with validate (app_update validate) will verify to about 24% and then give up. Running just app_update will say the game is already up to date. To test this further I deleted my server completely and ran the update, it said the game was already up to date even though it no longer exists.... My guess is the servers are overloaded with update requests? What am I missing here?

And you specified the correct folder (assuming you moved the game files)?

If not, try installing to a different location using force_install_dir

Oh I tried using a different install directory as well, it starts to download files then gives up and says app is fully installed, all I get is the steamapps folder and redist folder. The game itself won't download. I'm able to force join my server using the open command and my friends can join through steam. At this time I have no way of acquiring build 1006 from steamcmd.

Peculiar... although it seems as if the problem isn't limited to just you.

I was able to update my servers to 1006 fine (this was 40 minutes ago).

Did you try reinstalled Steamcmd itself?

I dont have the problem; techburn does.

But as a precursor, do try and reinstall SteamCMD.
