I'd love to know what game this is and where I can get it.
Sorry a bit late in answering this. The games are "Waterloo" and "Armada" from Peter Turcan.

They were really groundbreaking for their time (Waterloo is from '89) - first stratgames I know of with the "3D" perspective, and they even had "Friendly FoW" in that you could never really be sure where your own units were unless you receive a report on their position. Also you are never even sure if your orders arrive if the courier gets killed for instance - and orders delay sometimes 1 hour etc. Good fun
They work fine in DosBox and you can speed them up from the original where drawing one screen sometimes took up 2 mins
But to play them you *really* need the maps and the full manual, all commands have to be typed in so you need the syntax etc.
