I haven't farted about with proper 3D software since my brother stopped doing animation in uni and I lost access to 3D Studio max. This is as good an excuse as any.

I've never used Messiah before, but it's supposed to be - bar none - the greatest rendering engine since ... well, ever.

I've been passively fiddling with Blender for modelling on and off for ages, so the 3D modelling can be done in there.

Fairly happy with the stuff I use right now and tend to only do still renders, but $40 for a pro license is a steal and will hopefully motivate/educate me a bit more.
