Hi, this is my problem. Which I still have.
Just registered on here to see if I can get some answers. :confused:
Can someone tell me what the 'Warning' lines are in my log? Is that part of my problem? Or not?
Warning: Failed to load 'NULL': Can't resolve package name
Warning: Failed to load 'Class None.': Can't resolve package name
Warning: Failed to load 'NULL': Can't resolve package name
Warning: Failed to load 'Class None.': Can't resolve package name

Trying real hard to sort this myself but I'm no genius (not even close!)

No it doesn't matter about those errors. If your computer is locking up completely (ie you can't alt-tab out, or use ctrl-atl-del) then it's likely to be something hardware related or operating system related rather than the game itself. The log is getting cut off when setting your video card settings so I'd lean towards something to do with that, so maybe try older drivers if you have the latest, and make sure that directx is up to date. Having said that, before trying those you can try the following to see if it helps or not:

Code:
Open up your killingfloor.ini file in notepad (located in steam/steamapps/common/killingfloor/system)

find

[Engine.Engine]
RenderDevice=D3D9Drv.D3D9RenderDevice
;RenderDevice=D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice

and change it to

[Engine.Engine]
;RenderDevice=D3D9Drv.D3D9RenderDevice
RenderDevice=D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice

and save the file.
The only other weird thing I noticed is that your name in the log is a mess of strange characters, you could try changing your Steam name to something else and see if that has anything to do with it (doubtful).

Right. I just rolled my gfx drivers back about 2-3 releases and altered my .ini and also changed my name. PC froze and had to re-start.
Here is my log file (or what bit there is ???)

This is becoming ridiculous :(

And today *drum roll*, just tried render in DX8.
Blue screen of death, pc restarted it's self.

I think the time has come to call it a day on this one as I'm not risking the health of my pc with all these constant crashes (10+) :(
I'm gonna un-install KF, hopefully getting a newer set up soon so I'll try again then.
Just can't understand why it is ONLY this game (out of 20+ games on my pc) that causes such problems :confused:

To all who have tried to help, thank you very much ;)
