Hi all!

I want to by me a new graphic card.

I want to buy the

MSI NX7900GS - TD512 e- OC

Do you know this card? Any experiences with it?
If you have better ideas, only till 200 euros.
Other:
Amd 64 3000+ 1809 Mhz

And can I use older DDR Rams ( i have now two 512 mb sticks ) with a new 1 gb stick? Thanks for help!

Newegg has that card for $189.99.

You may also consider the Sapphire X1950Pro 512. It is slightly faster according to tomshardware VGA charts. I can vouch for the AGP version also. It's a very fast card. Newegg has it for $189.99 with a $25 Rebate:

If you don't have your heart set on 512 RAM, newegg has an EVGA 256 7900GS for $154.99 with a $15 rebate. I'd recommend evga because they carry a lifetime warranty.

Right, go look my thread "ATI or Nvidia for gaming" or something like that.

I had a AMD 3000+ 64 with a Nvidia 6600gt 128 vram.
I changed my MB for an Asrock 775 VSTA, which allowed me to keep my 1.25mb DDR1 ram and my GPU, (the 6600gt), in which I put a Intel E6400 CD2.

I went from 112 fps to 164 fps in the CSS time demo !
Some time after-wards I changed my 6600gt for a 7900gs 256 vram.
The CSS time demo is now at about 187 fps.

Note that the Asrock 775 VSTA has AGP and ePCI graphics slots.

Be aware that the Asrock VSTA ePCI solution is limited to 4x.

After, I changed my DDR1 ram (1.25mb) for DDR2, (2go) at which point I had problems with the MB bios. I moved from Vs 1.9 to Vs 2.6, I now have a smooth flowing system.

The change from DDR1 to DDR2 has made little difference (196 fps).

I state the CSS time demo because its steady and sure.

This was an upgrade that I done step by step which I do not regret in the slightest.

MB 50
