PC Max GPU usage when in game menu or alt-tabbed

Whenever in KF2 game menu or alt tabbed, my GPU usage is 97-100%. In game its around 60%-90%.

Specs:
CPU - 2500k
GPU - MSI 970 4G
System : Win7
KF2 installed on HDD drive, System on SSD

Settings:

p.s. This was also an issue in KF1...

I noticed that too, there are specific times in which Gpu usage shoots up like crazy. One is when you are in game in a lobby, another is if you are in an empty server as a spectator, the gpu usage starts going through the roof. Usually during a game like in the middle of a game in progress this type of thing does not happen, it is very odd to say the least.

s5yn3t what cpu and gpu do you have? seems like your CPU is the bottleneck on your machine.

Your CPU is under minimum requirement, what do you expect? You are making a post like "yeah I noticed this bug too blabla" but do you realize you're lucky to be able to reach the main menu?

That is totally off topic. You're replying in a thread, inside the BUG REPORT forum, assuming you have the same reported bug, or another bug. There is absolutely NO BUG with your computer, on the contrary, as I said you're lucky you can reach the main menu as you are under minimum requirement. Me doing this or that is off topic.

I have i7-4770 and 28 gb ram. gtx 1080. I am sure you are not talking about me..

I hate to bump this thread, but this issue still happening when game alt-tab.

In kf2 game menu I get around 60% GPU utilization. What's happening in main menu, so it causes such high GPU usage?

And alt-tab game fully consumes 100% GPU. Tripwire running bitcoin daemon in background, lul?

Can something be done about it? My GPU runs hot just by being in main menu. Playing actual game consumes less GPU power.
