Machine gun bullets dont penetrate the radiators

The radiators below windows on the maps seem to be inpenetrable by machine gun bullets. Noticed this when trying to shoot a guy below a window with a machine gun.

Not to sound like I'm disregarding your post (really, I'm not) but those radiators are solid cast iron. Most non-armor piercing projectiles would have a hard time penetrating that.

Not sure what radiators were like back in the days in Russia but usually they are just simple metal or thin cast iron. I believe bullets can penetrate material like that with ease, at least machine gun bullets.

i believe old radiators would be made in, how do you say, pig iron?

i've noticed that on barracks if you're russian sniper and go onto the cantina roof, hide behind the chimney and peer into the 1st floor corridor of the central building. this is a great camping spot because you can get a shot on anyone who goes upstairs and at the same time be relatively safe.

BUT - the little metal railing seems to block all sniper bullets. i don't care if the bullets were to 'deflect' slightly, but they seem to vaporise.
