I thought I'd give you some links to a big collection of rare pictures taken on the eastfront. Enough to keep you busy for hours. I think it's fascinating to see the war from the perspective of regular German soldiers. Some graphic pictures in there, lots of blown up vehicles and fallen soldiers.

Perhaps this site has been referred to before - I could not find the reference. Literally thousands of photographs of the Eastern front were collected and posted by an enthusiast.

For me it took 2 days to go through one of the albums (Latest WWII Russian Front photographs) and I was left with a sad feeling after seeing so many graveyards and burials. Yet there is also the experience of being right there. A suggestion: ignore the trolling among some of the accompanying comments!
