Well assuming shot still penetrates in this game, hitting someone would mean obvious blunt trauma issues and shot going through them to hit things behind them, mayhaps neat 'zerker crowd control.
Plus, I mean seriously, it's a sledgehammer and a shotgun at the same time; no objection here.
