hell gate... what was that????? yeah, I didnt touch that game with a 20ft pole. that game was beyond repair.

I agree. The KF of now is far FAR better then it was on release. They need to re-review it.

Yea killing floor is giving me familiar nightmares, such a disappointment.
To be honest I'd revert the patch for stability rather than play on this atrocity.

gameplay-wise it is definately a lot better, but when you're not able to switch the map without having to restart KF it just SUCKS!

wellllllll yeah.... comparatively tho. the GUI, sounds, weapons, spawn rate, new maps, all show superior increases of improvement. now the few things that got broken dont make the game unplayable.... unless u get the lag bomb issue.

it doesn't make it unplayable, but it makes it nearly impossible to play 2 maps in a row.
However, I also think that the meta score should be higher. 9 new weapons, 4 new maps, 1 new perk, better gui etc are definately a reason to get a higher score. one always has to keep in mind that other devs would charge you for such additions

this is why I pay no attention to most reviewers. it's basically just a noob's opinion of the game, and not really worth much towards your decision to buy. only value I see in those is that they get early access to most games, so you can sort of get an idea of what kind of content to expect, but beyond that you really shouldn't take them too seriously.

Their most accurate measure is that of production values, something L4D had and KF didn't. Frankly, I think KF has the gameplay depth (superior in every aspect) and replay value, but the voice acting, animations, GUI, polish, stability (things reviewers value)...were not the equal in many ways to L4D. Good gameplay comes natural to TWI, if they want better scores they gotta budget more resources towards that stuff (not that I'm concerned).
