Before KF I had never used UE, but because I enjoy the game I've decided to try my hand at designing and building a map, making this my first.

Map name: KF-Hotel
Beta: 2
Playable: Yes
Description: Soon after "something went terribly wrong".... There has been an incident of mass homicide at a modern, victorian-themed hotel [undergoing some refurbishing and minor construction] downtown. Called to investigate, find the cause.
Testing: Find exploits
Size: 2.45mb
Map Download: http://fifth.environmentality.net/Maps/KF-Hotel-beta2.zip

NOW HOSTING ON SERVER: 69.28.221.14:7707

Probably the last beta...I guess not many people have played this, but w.evs, I'll find the mistakes myself.

That doesn't really look half-bad for a first map, at least in terms of detailing. Just watch out for those unnecessarily large open areas, it seems to be the usual "noob-mistake".

Anyway, looking forward to this. Keep it up!

Yes, I kept this in mind while making it and in turn the largest areas are also the least safest due to more spawns. There are a few issues I still have with the map that I need assistance on, but I will address/ask about them after I provide the public with the beta. So far the biggest issue is having specs getting stuck in the doorways as on higher difficulties they have a tendency to get bunched together. There seems to be no workaround to this other than enlarging the doorways even though it makes them noticeably out of proportion.

Thanks Filth . Some of the spawns don't seem to work as they should [namely the ones in the pool area since they're supposed to come from behind]. If anyone with UE experience could give me an explanation why, I'd really appreciate it so I can make the fix asap.

you mean corners right not coronas as in the beer right?

He means the coronas on the lights...not sure which ones though..probably the lanterns around the areas being remodeled. I guess those are the most noticeable, but I will probably end up increasing the light around them. Thnx.
