RO2 Issue with ripped RO2 / RS weapons

Hello everyone!
I am currently experiencing a rather annoying issue with ripped weapon models.
The bones are not behaving as they should. For some reason, the weight painting isn't being correctly applied to the mesh, resulting in bones having a bigger area of influence than they should.

Case in point, the MKB-42 from the base game :

As you can see, moving the magazine bone also moves some vertices from the magwell. Don't get me started on the ironsight.

Has anyone who has ripped weapons before encountered this problem?
I think it might have to do with me using 3DS Max 2015, instead of an older version.
