Is Red Orchestra going to stay as a PC exclusive?

the Wii controllers are just mice, right? Something in-between a console controller and a PC mouse. I dont see the big deal.

Well it responds in 3 dimensions (unlike a mouse that only responds in 2 dimensions) it does not need a surface like a mouse. It also contains a gyroscope which means that it responsd when you turn the conroller around the axis of the gyroscope and since it's a gyroscope it matters how fast you turn it (not like those old tilt gamepads for PC).

You have to read up on how a gyroscope works yourself I cba to explain it now :p

So no I would not call it "just a mouse". But I can't tell you how well it works IRL I can only say that on paper it looks great but I can't give a final judgement untill I have tried it myself.

I think this controller is improving playability like 3D accelerators were improving graphics, you can play games more naturally like humans not machines, you can actually move when playing game. Eye toy wasn't so popular becouse there was so few games you could play with it, but with this you can play anything. Accuracy looks just fine, I am more conserned about lag.

Here is mid range aiming (no crosshairs):

motion capture: voice commands could be implemented this way (drawing number in to air)

I can't see any reason why RO (or RO2) could not be converted to Wii.

and to address the thread topic... I dont personally think RO would translate to a console platform very well. However, if Tripwire were able to fleece a ton of console guys of their money for some simplified version, and then reinvest most of those proceeds into a PC version using the UE3 engine... then I say COOL.

Actually it can detect any movement in 3-d space, even roll, so if Tw makes a game on it they can make it that any movement you make with the Wii-mote and its attachments will be instantly translated into the game.

Imagine being able to use the Wii-mote to shoulder your weapon and using non-pre-defined melee attacks. Btw that pokeman picture is hilarious!
