When i bought this game i used to be able to play it fine for months, now i had a gap and have started playing again. It crashes every time i spawn.

Hi all. I've read all the posts about the usual rogame.exe crash etc but here's a new one.
I installed a MSI twinfrozrIII GTX660 2GB card with the latest 306.97 64bit drivers and the game randomly crashes the pc with a black screen. the monitor is on an endless on/off/on/off cycle. The only way to get the pc back again is to pull the power. sometimes it'll go 5 mins, sometimes 50 mins before the crash
Ive tried endless reinstalls of driver and game, tried 296.10 n 306.23 older drivers, verified gamecache countless times, steam community set to off, set the pool mem at different levels, fiddled with all the settings/resolutions with hardware phys on and off. thing is every other game runs sweet; cods, arma (inc i44 and IronFront), original RO, eve, bf2 and 3. all sweet. RO2 is the only one making me loose the little hair i got left :s
If I quit the game without it crashing I get the display drivers recovered message on the taskbar.
The card is running cool at 32 degC idle, 35 under stresstest load. No O/C or volt tweeks.
Any suggestions?

EDIT* turns out its only punkbuster servers that crash me


Q6600 quad (stock) 2.4ghz, 8gb OCZ ram (stock) 800mhz, EVGA680i mobo, Xfi soundcard, Thermaltake 850w PSU. and a load of tears........

hey there
i have problems with my RO2. since i subscribed to the content "bridges of druzhina" in the "steam workshop" menu in my library rogame.exe stopped working. when i unsubscribe everything is working fine! is there any other RO2-player with the same problem?

game won't start anymore. i think it's caused by my stupid attempt to manually create a folder with an official map (for practice purposes) where steam workshop usually puts custom maps (c:/documents/my games/etc...). so i created a folder named pavlov's house, copied TE-PavlovsHouse.roe into it and tried to run the game.

during startup, a message/error was displayed saying something crazy like:

using "e:/steam/steamapps/common/red orchestra 2/rogame/cookedpc/maps/pavlovshouse/TE-PavlovsHouse.roe" not "e:/steam/steamapps/common/red orchestra 2/rogame/cookedpc/maps/pavlovshouse/TE-PavlovsHouse.roe"

the game loaded the twi logo followed by the main screen, hanged there for a few seconds like i was experiencing terrible lag and simply crashed. so i deleted the newly created folder, cleaned my cache and registry with ccleaner and once more my registry with registry mechanic. restarted the whole system. tried running the game and it crashed again.

please tell me i can fix this.

second potential cause for all of this could be related to my recent installation of rypel cam for ro2 which made me edit a line in rogame.ini

my third suspect is also related to rogame.ini:

Find the line called [ROGame.ROPawn] and under it find FXLifetimeMultiplier=1.000000 (just increase this number, default is 30 sec, 2.000 is 60 secs etc.)

i've changed it to 60 seconds (value 2).

i restored my rogame.ini to its default values and it seems it's all working normally again.

have you verified the games cache files and made sure to run the ro2 ue3 redist? you reallly should start a thread for help. doing it om this thread is a bad idea for a few reasons.
