If a camera crew is tracking our shark, then why hasn't the government ordered them to turn over their info to the sharkhunters?

Think about it. Our shark is terrorizing beaches, gobbling up innocent beachgoers, and literally blowing up boats. Somehow, a reality show is able to keep track of all her movements...and somehow, neither the government or shark hunters demand the reality show's cameras in order to track and kill her.

How is this possible?

The sharkhunters do have all the info from the reality show though, thats how they'll know whether the player shark kills when nobody is watching. However, a certain point, there's only so much humans can do.

I mean, I suppose the next logical step would be to see the navy send a submarine to blow up the player shark but in real life that just wouldn't happen. Instead they'd send out drones to study more and scientists to get some DNA to study why the shark has gotten so big/mutated beyond reasoning.

Hmm that's a good point...but if they can aim a camera at the shark at all times, why can't they drone it?

I know that you don't drone sharks in real life, but I bet we would drone a shark if that shark was killing thousands of humans and blowing up boats in rich neighborhoods.

Granted that there isn't a ton of sharks to get the main shark in focus, following a shark with a drone could be more helpful than tagging it today.
