well god ****ing damn it.

my download got to 100%, the file transfer thingy came up for the end of it just as I was typing and pressed enter, which cancelled the whole thing. now I have to download it again

The demo's great. I found a tmp that had 666 bullets in it

It runs at steady 30fps with vsync on, everything maxed and resolution of 1280x1024. 4xAA and 8xAF.

What kind of card do you have, I run at like 6FPS on Radeon x1600 Pro. This really sucks, I was really looking forward to this game.

I run over 40 fps with a geforce 6800GT with full everything.

I like the demo, I just find the controls a little less intuitive than before. The option menu is difficult to get used to compared to older hitman games.

However, the graphics are awesome (I'm not a graphics > gameplay person, don't worry), the new camera shots on the side of the screen every now and then are a nice touch. The new things 47 can do are awesome too, and people don't take 1000+ shots to die any more (although for run and gun that isnt such a great thing )

anyway, having played the demo, I want this game about 20x as much

what they really need is an MP for it, not quite sure how it would work, but the possibilites are cool in my head

like that "ship" game where you are being hunted while hunting. That would be cool

After playing it though, I'm still pissed off at the weird control system.

I don't like having seperate buttons for picking items up and actions, it kind of ruins the flow a bit. I'll just play the crap out of it until I can get used to it I suppose.

Most kills so far have been 20 kills, with 3 headshots and 3 suspicious kills (I poisoned the secretary, the boss, and pushed someone over the edge of a balcony)

Guys do you think its because my x1600 jsut cant handle the gaem or because of some other issue. Cause I think my card should be able to play this game fine.

I fixed my FPS issue, I had to turn on AGP fast write. Except now I get other other wierd glitches.

Cool, mine can run it fine And on the highest settings except no for soem wired liens and ****. But that I think is because of my crappy mother board which does not like AGP fast write.

I ran around knocking people out instead of killing them. cept the 4 gangsters playing cards wouldnt co-operate and got shot 0_o

After I finally dloaded and installed the demo, I couldn't launch it: I was having a message saying this file: "d3dx9_27.dll" wasn't installed or something...

The really funny story is a did a search on my comp for this file and found it there: C:\Program files\Steam\SteamApps\username\red orchestra\System

So I copy pasted it in the Hitman Demo folder and it magically worked!


Anyways, that game is friggin awesome and with everything maxed out it's visually stunning!

Can't wait to get my hands on the full version!!

Athena, I had the same problem and did the same fix. But if you really want to fix it you should install the latest version of direct x (9.0c). It just gives you that message cause your version is old.

I've been saying it for five months now: I need to upgrade. Now the point has been hammered home not only by RO, but also by the demo. Friggin video card...

On a side note, beating people to death with a fire extinguisher is much fun

yeah, that very satisfying metalic *DONG* makes it all worthwhile

I took down 2 people while I was dying (in the red "death" bit) with a fire extinguisher
