I still feel they are rushing the story too much, since they need to cram in a lot of different story arcs into a short 10 episode season. I think the show really suffers from it.

Hopefully seasons 3 and 4 will be better, since they both focus on the 3rd book.

Don't get me wrong tho, still a great show, just could be much better if they had 16-20+ episode seasons, instead of a mere 10.

I don't understand why it has to be 10 episodes per season. Some seasons could be longer than others just like the books are. That way they wouldn't have to rush anything and GoT would look more like a series than a miniseries to me.

But eventually they'll have to put up with the costs, but in another season. They spend the same amount of money anyway. GoT is one of the most watched TV shows lately, why is it so poorly funded?

Those were the millers sons. You know, the man Theon was questioning about the location of Bran. Theon was making a point about what happens to people who don't cooperate.

But people were to believe those were the Stark boys At least that is how I understood the scene, Theon killed the Miller sons, telling everyone it were the Stark boys so he doesn't have to face the embarrassment of letting a cripple and an idiot escape.

Where did Theon say that these were the Stark children? I thought he was just trying to show the miller (and everyone else) what happens, if they refuse to help him find Bran and the others.

Keep in mind, I have not read the books, so I may be very off here.

I didn't read the books either, but that is what the scene is implying to me. If he wants to make a point, he could have killed anyone, imo.

But he asked the Miller about where Bran went, and he didn't answer him. So in order to show what a "badass" he is, and what happens to those who disobey him, he dismembered and burned his children.

Also, just read on another forum, that in the books, it is implied that Theon actually used to sleep with the Miller's wife and that possibly one of the kids he killed was his own child.

I'm guessing they'll get into that in the next episode(s), but I'll still ask.

How would that plan even work?

I mean, wouldn't the parents of the children who were really killed notice that they are missing? Did they kill the parents as well? Did they kill everyone at the mill? Someone might have seen them take the kids. Did Theon do the killing alone, so that nobody else saw that he wasn't really killing the right children? Because otherwise his men would not respect him, since he let the real "fugitives" get away.

And why would anyone believe what Theon says in the first place? He's a desperate moron.

as of the end of book 5, iirc only samwell, manderly, theon, davos, and the mute kid know that bran and rickon are still alive. everyone else believes they are dead, or dont know(like arya)
