Free weekend..

Well,

a free weekend for this game would be great. I think many RO2 free weekend players don't even know about it. It would make more people interested in it. Player numbers will increase - and hopefully - some players will stay.

What could possibly be bad with this?

This game is on it's last legs, many people probably don't know about it, and a free weekend will probably make TWI get more sales and it will most likely keep the game alive for a lot longer.

RO2 have quite high system requirements. Not everyone likes it for various reasons. RO1 may be outdated but I still think it would be good business.

I don't think people can buy this game nowadays. But if it's free, why not?

I agree, it disappearing, most people dont even know it exists but I prefer it to any other FPS that exists. Making it free would make it a lot more well known I think and keep it alive (and would help me who wants to make an educational mod which ideally needs the realism that RO1 has).

It's great in Linux, but DH still isn't integrated so Linux players cannot enjoy this fantastic mod.

I agree with the free weekend. Nothing to be lost at this point.

Well, the game doesn't look that new but I'd not call it ugly. And yes, linux version runs great. I was kinda surprised when I ran it the first time. I liked the bloom effect I didn't have on windows (yes I liked it for 10 minutes, then I switched it off because it looked like someone smeared grease all over my screen). Now I'm just waiting for DH and MN coming to steam (also Half-life linux mod conversions).
