With the UE3 is there any chance of a first person cover system similar to games like Killzone 2 and the upcoming sequel cowboy game Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood ?
I doubt the engine has a whole lot to do with this as it's more of a concious decision for how the gameplay should work than a generic engine feature you can pop into your game, like Bloom or somesuch.
It has been stated multiple times that there will be a first-person cover system.
How similar it is going to be to what game has not been said, but most RO fans seem to hope it's going to be much better than the cover systems in other games.
A hit should hit. It shouldn't be discarded because the "hitee" was in cover-mode, like it often happens in Brothers in Arms. I doubt we will get more specific news about how this system is going to work in-game any time soon.
Just trust them to get it to work in a satisfying and realistic manner and start complaining when you see it fail.
