Ferdinand foto

This practice is possible, also because the Ferdinands at Kursk at times were without infantry support.

It seems this pouring method was common among Germans assaulting Soviet tanks too. Here's a picture of German troops doing the same to a KV-1:

It is unreal. By means of a bucket of gasoline it is difficult . Gasoline very quickly burns down. Need the fire-mix , 50 % gasoline + 50% motor oil .

It is test T-34. It is T-34 beta :) . On the motor in current of half an hour have thrown 9 bottles. Gasoline or a fire-mix it is not known.

Without results. The tank has not fired up. The engine has not stopped. Animals in the tank have not suffered.

Next test . Turret , a gun, the hatch, a machine gun. Without results.

All hatches at the tank are tight. The lattice of the engine has has special flutes. They do not allow gasoline to get inside. If simply to splash out gasoline, it will not get inside. It needs to be poured accurately. Then to burn .

It is correct for T-34, KV, Tiger, Panther, late Pz-3 end Pz-4.

The guy on a picture simply washes the tank :) .
