Evolution/Mutations your thoughts?

For those of us who like the look of the standard shark it would be nice to have an option to hide the evolution skins/effects could this be implemented?
Is it possible to complete the game without evolutions?
I thinks the evolutionary mutations that have been shown are nice and thematic, however the evolutionary perfection of the regular shark is equally as pleasing sometimes less is more. Are there evolutions options that look less X-Men/comic?
