Did they change Hans to not shoot?

Something I noticed since the big update happened,

The boss Hans Volter doesn't always shoot his dual MkB-42s anymore. He pulls them out and then doesn't shoot. He only fires during the first phase before he drains someone. After that, I don't see him fire his guns despite pulling them out.

I'm aware Tripwire changed the cooldown on when he would do it, but I'm not sure the behavior of only using them during the first phase is intended?

It's a bug and they released an optional patch for server owners to fix it.

IMO, Hans should be only shooting either his rifle alternatively at a time but at a rate that's closer to non-stop. Resulting a more consistent/stable performance.
