We play NR2003. You may be thinking of Nascar 4 which came out in the late 90's. The very first Papyrus NASCAR sim was called "Nascar Racing" which was sold under the Virgin Interactive Entertainment label and made its debut in 1995. Heh, all of which I think I have a copy of each.
ATM, there are a few uf us dabbling in the new US Pits Stock car mod for rFactor. Which is very well done.

I played it on a 28.8kbps if I recall correctly.Heh, I dont think that version even has high speed net code. But if you have an extra 14.4 modem kicking around, Im game.
I don't think it'll run well on a modern computer though...

I dont think it will either. But I still have my old PII 450 with the blazing fast Voodoo II card and 64 megs of memory still kicking around here somewheres.
EDIT- Oh, its RO night again on the =db= server.
