Best solo HoE/Suicidal perk?

Being such a massive fan of Killing Floor, I decided to make this thread (My first one ever!) to see the opinions of other Killing Floor-iens. What is the best perk for solo play on Hell on Earth/Suicidal difficulty in your opinions?

NOTE: This applies to SOLO Killing Floor on HELL ON EARTH/SUICIDAL! This does NOT mean being the last person alive in a MULTIPLAYER match. Please list if you are talking about HoE or Suicidal in your response.

Personally, I think it would have to be either the Support Specialist, Sharpshooter, or Berserker. Support because of crowd control, massive damage and the ability to carry a weapon for pretty much all situations. Sharpie because of massive damage if used correctly, quick kills on fleshpounds and scrakes, range and pretty decent ammo reserves. Zerker because of no ammo problems, speed, kiting ability and damage taking reductions.

I also understand that answers will differ depending on the map, go ahead and list them!

Thanks! :)

Berserker, because you can kite nearly any map without difficulty. Speed + damage resistance + clot resistance make it nearly impossible for all but a gorefast to catch you. The fact that perk weapons require no ammo and can take any specimen in the game with a little practice doesn't hurt either.

My solo HoE difficulty map completion achievements were earned as follows:

Sharpshooter wave 1 to have a crossbow to sell.
Firebug through wave 4 or 5.
Berserker with Husk Gun & katana for waves 5-6.
Berserker with Husk Gun & claymore or fire axe & machete for waves 7-10
Support for patriarch.

The husk fireball launcher allows your solo kiting berserker to kill much faster than he otherwise would. A faster kill rate will actually make kiting more dangerous but I preferred it for the faster clearing speed.

Support is probably much easier to solo later waves now with the HSG-1 shotgun. This still favors a very good, funneled, camping spot.

if you dont mind taking your time, then medic and zerk. If you want to get the job done fast, then support. And if your aim is spot on, and your perks are lvl 6, then commando or sharpy. Demolitions and firebug just arent good enough for soloing, Mainly because of the constant need for more ammo. However, if you are lvl6 firebug, and the map is open enough, then it could work for most of the rounds

Zerker is hands down the easiest class to play with, if you don't mind taking your time and know a few things.

I don't get why people say medic. Medics don't have any way that I know of to safely take a scrake (ie. guarenteed to not take damage), and at the end of a map, you'll likely have your armour with a few dings in it and have to kill 8 scrakes in a row.

After that, either support or sharp. The former can crowd control wonderfully, and can kill FPs without a problem and scrakes if you're good. The latter can kill big things without a problem, but suffers when facing a crowd or when surprised (kiting and find two gorefasts around a corner for example), as they'll need to land headshots very quickly and accurately.

I don't get people who talk about camping in singleplayer on suicidal+. I've never really liked the validity of that, as it requires a spot with one entrance, and requires you to be able to take down zeds as they come at you, as well as being able to take down crowds of zeds with a big nasty in their midst, which AFAIK, no class can do efficiently.

Commando suffers from the same problem as a medic (big nasties, whut?) and firebug works on kitable maps like Suburbia (and... nope, just suburbia), but suffers (in my experience) on pretty much most other maps.
Demo is really tough. Could POSSIBLY make it with katana/HC/M32, but you'd be playing to prove you can, rather than for ease of play.

Support takes down big nasties on Sui+ super easy on solo. With grenades aa12 and huntingshotgun you should be able to get everything very quickly. Every map has a spot you can hold one direction. Quickest way to solo a map IMO.

Commando isn't much harder either- just carry offperk m32 (takes some clever perk switching but you can have it for wave 2 pretty easily) with your choice of AR and you don't even have to kite with that loadout. Even takes down Patrick on solo without much trouble.

We talked about soloing hoe, right? No way to have 8 scrakes in one wave there. Also, once they're raged, it requires just one SCAR mag to the face to kill them. And you can usually afford to buy it offperk by the time they start to appear.

Also, I tested recently, you can kill even 6-man HoE scrake with new the M7A3 while taking only about 20 damage to your armor.

How do you feel about HoE commando in a team of 6?
Its nice to see a someone who likes Commando.
I love the new loadout: SCAR+FAL+Magnums

I enjoy having one or two commandos in kite games. They need some extra care (occasional medic tanking against pissed FPs), but are great in clearing the path for the rest of team. And in camp games it doesn't really matters who plays what, as long as they do a good job with it.

LAR is an easy solution (and a good all-around soloing weapon). Once only scrakes are left, do the following: gain as much distance as possible, keeping them in your line of sight; pick a scrake; LAR headshot; reload; LAR headshot; reload; continue shooting it in the face as it rages toward you, while backpedaling.

I've finished plenty of waves this way when the scrakes spawned with multiple players, so I'm pretty confident it can work for solo play (map-dependent, of course).
