The game crashes on launch, no matter what solutions we try, deleting the configs, verifying the game cache, re-installing the content in _redist folder etc. and the last - updating gpu drivers... there's the problem.

Nvidia's latest drivers that came after 359.06 (( 364.51 ; 362.00 ; 361.91 ; 361.42 )) are really messy, they cause people's screens to flicker/flash black periodically and in this case do not even allow to launch KF2.

I'm using Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 15, Windows 10, fresh install.
The recent drivers have been giving me and my father (old gamer) hell, yes the performance is a tiny bit increased for the games that the driver works with, but it is not worth the sacrifice of support.

If you are running the latest drivers and none of the fixes you've found work, I advise you to try out an older gpu driver, preferably 359.06 as it is the last driver with no appearant issues with any games on most hardware.

You may also try older WHQL driver releases.

So NO - latest drivers are not always the solution, older hardware might become unsupported or not be fully compatible thanks to the process of developing the drivers to be more efficient on later hardware.

Hopefully this is the fix for you, see you in the field, smashin' those brainless tossers.
