Level Design Having some trouble with brushes (subracting)

Nah bro, I'm going for the octagonal shape on purpose. :P Now....I just need to figure out how to do stairs again. XD

Level Design Having some trouble with brushes (subracting)

I figured out the problem. The face on my "cylinder" (which is just an octagon tbh.) wasn't exactly on the grid (which I found by closer inspection.) By subtracting I was leaving less than 1 unit on the edge, which really broke things. XD Thanks for the help JD.

Level Design Having some trouble with brushes (subracting)

    I don't really see how I could have a bsp hole from 2 brushes...:( Screenshots: http://i54.tinypic.com/2rr85l5.png http://i52.tinypic.com/2h3vo11.png

Level Design Having some trouble with brushes (subracting)

Hey, so I have a cylinder (10 sides) and I'm trying to add a room off to the side (a box) When I go to "subtract" the box from the wall, it makes most of my cylinder disappear (5 of the walls, and the floor.) I have them lined up right, it's just baffling to me why this would happen... I'm...

    KF Update released

Launched up the game today for some good old-fashioned zombie killin. Played for a bit didn't notice any bugs (and honestly didn't find out about the update until later.) But then I decided I wanted to level sharpshooter, so I go to bloat-ed mutator for easy headshots...but... for some reason...

    Tactics Patriarch Weakspot

No way I'd ever be able to make that shot. But it is comforting to know that it is possible for him to take a knee from just one shot. Imagine if two sharpshooters with crossbows hit the eye at the same time!

    Fleshpound "Weakspot"

Yes, I believe shooting down at the FP does allow decaps, I've done it before on maps like KF-Doom2.

    Level Design Speed up rebuilding

I use this same method when compiling maps for the Source engine. Always do lighting last, since things can sit around in fullbright without changing gameplay.

    Final Map KF-Archives

Nah, it's mostly a bunch of file-cabinets. Like I said, the other version is glitchy and IMO not very good.

Level Design Issues with surface selection

Have you tried right-clicking instead? YouTube - UnrealED 3.0 Official Tutorial [First Level, Part 2] You might want to watch the first bit of this video. Also, you should probably look into some different tutorials since you're having trouble with those ones.

    Final Map KF-Archives

Oh, actually it was a different map alltogether. You might want to change the name of yours, cause this other one is already on the whitelist (I think.) http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?p=452891

    Final Map KF-Archives

I was playing this one today, it's a very interesting map. Only bug I noticed was a lot of the zeds get stuck in the hallways for some reason. This is good for perk leveling, but bad for the overall quality of the map.

Level Design UnrealED seems to lag considerably.

Okay, well I am new to the whole mapping thing. I took the advice of the stickies in here and watched some videos before I jumped in...and they helped immensely. The only problem I've encountered is a bit of lag for seemingly no reason. I have a very small room, and in which I added a spiral...
