I figured out the problem.
The face on my "cylinder" (which is just an octagon tbh.) wasn't exactly on the grid (which I found by closer inspection.) By subtracting I was leaving less than 1 unit on the edge, which really broke things. XD

Hey, so I have a cylinder (10 sides) and I'm trying to add a room off to the side (a box)
When I go to "subtract" the box from the wall, it makes most of my cylinder disappear (5 of the walls, and the floor.)
I have them lined up right, it's just baffling to me why this would happen...

Launched up the game today for some good old-fashioned zombie killin. Played for a bit didn't notice any bugs (and honestly didn't find out about the update until later.)
But then I decided I wanted to level sharpshooter, so I go to bloat-ed mutator for easy headshots...but... for some reason...
No way I'd ever be able to make that shot. But it is comforting to know that it is possible for him to take a knee from just one shot.
Imagine if two sharpshooters with crossbows hit the eye at the same time!
I use this same method when compiling maps for the Source engine. Always do lighting last, since things can sit around in fullbright without changing gameplay.
Have you tried right-clicking instead?

You might want to watch the first bit of this video. Also, you should probably look into some different tutorials since you're having trouble with those ones.

I was playing this one today, it's a very interesting map. Only bug I noticed was a lot of the zeds get stuck in the hallways for some reason. This is good for perk leveling, but bad for the overall quality of the map.
Okay, well I am new to the whole mapping thing. I took the advice of the stickies in here and watched some videos before I jumped in...and they helped immensely.
