I have been playing KF on and off since UT 2004. I have lurked theses forums enough to gauge the real problem with the game. Player mindset(and play style). 1014 (love my bug) is great! Not everyone that plays this game is a grizzled veteran. I have played on 6 man lvl6 perk teams and died because somebody made one mistake. We all have watched a long game fall apart because of a mistake. That's the fun! No matter how much power or cash you have, you and your whole team can still die! You want more challenge try 6man with three 2man teams. Add suicidal for lulz! You will appreciate "god" classes and get far more important roles as support classes. You don't have to lock down the cross in biotics! You can change your experience by the way you choose to play. Get friendly enough and everyone will cooperate to have a great time! My 1 suggestion regarding the SCAR, add bullet penetration. People would have the difference between the AK47 and SCAR that they missed. Plus it would greatly justify the price. The small clip balances it nicely! Happy gaming all!

I think you're contradicting yourself.

You stated in the second sentence that you've been here long enough to understand the real problem, then you say you don't want the problem fixed.

The problem is with the M14. Right now the only thing i think we need is a little bit more recoil with the M14, my opinion is 1/3 more.

TWI are halfway there already, less damage per shot and less shots overall.
Now we need more recoil. Not more recoil as the base, but more at L6 SS.

One last tip i'm probably going to repeat until i'm unable/unwilling to post:
It's magazine, not clip; in most circumstances of gun use.

I meant with the changes as of 1014. I thought that was implied. I didn't communicate well. Sorry. The M14 as it is NOW is a balanced weapon. I can't act as a Commando with Sharpy bonuses anymore :). Thankfully the Desert Eagle acts as the old M14 when I need to mow down the scrubs. I don't use the rifle at YOUR (player not perk) skill level. I bet your a monster with a M14. Recoil is fine. Modern rifles really don't have that much especially a EBR. If you spam the trigger it jumps like crazy at a distance. If your being rushed by a scrake or FP your only hope of survival is the rapid fire at close range. Nice trade off compared to the x bow where a miss in that situation gets you killed. I will elaborate on my comical post. As of 1014 It is nice not to have a Lvl6 sharpy be a wall of death to all who dare oppose with the M14. 1 shot to the body killed any scrubs. A demo can do that but at a disadvantage because of reload and proximity. A fire bug (yay me!:D) should be able to do that. Even when a Firebug is perked up it's not a instant kill like a (1013 on back) Lvl6 sharpy. I used to enjoy the commando as a clean up man , but my bug does it better now and it can mark a patty for all to see. I am just a quasi noob afraid of loosing more class functionality. Its nice to invest the time in a class and reap the benefits. So I made a request to ease up on the nerfing. Of course that is at my skill level. I have seen Coms go full auto with the scar(1014) and clear wave after wave of freaks.

If it weren't for my remaining misgivings about the Mac10 I would agree with this. The big room for improvement is SCAR buff and chainsaw buff and both I can personally still live without just fine.

EBR's just fine the way it is now, people who want a harder game should just play on harder maps, without perks, with friendly fire, with WTFMut, or with dumber teammates.

Yes. Bullet penetration sounds good. Very good. (imo) I think this is best idea for buffing Scar. Cool. No need for extra damage then. If it only penetrates 1 specimen, making small damage for specimen behind it, i think it would be enough so its not like xbow or anything.

Actually, seeing people abuse the M14 soured it for me.

I am still competent with it, i just don't use it.

By the way, this EBR is based on an archaic design. The original weapon this was based on was the M1903 Springfield. Which developed into the M1 Garand. Then into the M14. Then the EBR variant.

Most modern rifles have in-line stocks, as in the M16, which mitigates recoil better. The hunting rifle-style stock of the M14 is a bit outdated, and this particular incarnation of the M14 EBR isn't exactly modern in terms of design. It's little more than a synthetic stock M14 with rails on it.

This is more what an EBR looks like:

Note the pistol grip and folding in-line stock.

If the KF M14 was this one, then the lower recoil cold be justified.

And i'm glad you think the M14 is now balanced. :D
I'd say go a step further and make it recoil more at L6.

I remember when i used the M14 on foundry once, to test it out as i didn't play it much, and it was kinda annoying. The HC performs better, the Xbow out-damages and out-shines it, and the 9mm does a better trash-mopping job. DHC is a great spamming weapon, and accurate if you learn where the centre of your screen is; i haven't really, i like using the sights someone at TWI spent time making :)

Another time i used the M14 was when i first played after the Incendiary patch. I ran out of ammo and i enjoyed it. And i didn't spam it either. Though i did use it solely until it was empty.

Now one of the reasons i don't like the M14 is the sound when it's shot. It brings back bad memories :(

But i think i digressed.

Since we are getting crazy in this. Lets just take out the m14 and the xbow replace it with the Barrett .50 cal. Make it a sharpy weapon. 30 rounds of ammo , 5 round mags. Ohhh baby! Has the attributes of both weapons without being over powered. Yeah you can get trigger happy, you can mow down rows upon rows of meat. You can only do it 30 times per wave though. I would make the ammo relatively cheap. I would want people to really enjoy those 30 shots per wave a relish the opportunity to do it again the next wave.
