Cant connect to any servers.

I recently havent been able to connect to any servers, it staysn the "connecting (F10 cancels)" screen (or a blank black screen).
Also, the Ping count is always "?" or "NA" on the server lists.

I've tried deleting the system folder and using steam's "check integrity of game cache" thing, which reinstalled a default system folder.

I've tried deleting local content, deleting my KF directory folder, and reinstalling.

I've tried copying my INI, deleting my system folder, downloading the fixed one (from this board that apparently fixes "map hang") and following the instructions.

And just about everything else. I've looked through this board for people having similar problems, which I found, but none of the fixes worked for me.

I'm running windows 7, it is a wifi connection but the signal is strong (Im like 3ft away from the modem).

I have gotten into 3 games in the past 2 days.

Any other suggestions?

Its a Compaq CQ60-615DX
2.2GHz celeron single core processor
2GB RAM
Windows 7 64 bit
And I'm 90% sure the video card in it cant be upgraded.

The wireless modem I'm using is straight from WOW, a CISCO DPQ2425, I'm not using a router right now.

I only connect wirelessly when I have to, its actually connected via ethernet cable right now.

And I'm only mad because this was almost on the second page and hasn't gotten a single bit of advice.

Its not a problem with my computer specs because I can run it fine when I get into a game. There might be something blocking the connection for all I know, but I followed the steps on this forum and nothing helps.

Well I appreciate that you at least tried to help, thanks.
Its just very irritating that I can't connect. I bought the game during the free weekend last year but couldn't play much because of my terrible PC.
Now I have a computer that can actually run it (with shadows off) and I can't connect.

Could it have something to do with me having Windows 7? I know windows 7 has directX11 installed, do you think it would help if I could find a way to uninstall that and install directx9.0c?

I, myself, am running Windows 7, and I can tell you right now that, if you attempt to do this, you will only waste your time. Besides, I don't necessarily see how DirectX has any effect on your ability to connect to servers, which suggests that it may be related to your connection or network hardware.

Besides, as a side-note, my Killing Floor is working close to flawlessly on Windows 7, and I can play any and all DirectX 9 games without a hitch (unless DirectX isn't the problem) without having to manually look for DirectX 9.

Was just wondering.
I'm looking for any reason I can that ikt isn't working. The laptop is new and the only things that have been installed on it are Norton, steam, some steam games, and updates.
The modem is brand new too, straight from WOW.
And KF is the only game I have a problem with.

And since I stopped wasting money each month for subscriptions to other games, I only have KF, CSS, and Nation Red right now. KF is great when it works, CSS sucks from the update, and Nation Red is just all around terrible.

Just to be sure, is Windows Firewall enabled? If so it might be blocked by that. Other than that, I'm stumped as to what it could be. Posting the log file (killingfloor.log) after failing to connect to a server might give us some clue as to what's going on.

Also, do you have any other network interfaces installed such as Hamachi?

No its disabled. I tried uninstalling Norton too, no luck.
And I don't get a failed to connect message, it just stays on the connecting screen. If the log file is still helpful, I'll be posting it in a few seconds anyway.

I don't even know what Himachi is.

Here is what was in my log file. As you might be able to see from this, I am able to connect to a game sometimes, but very rarely.
