Audio problem

My game was running fine, then one time I wanted to play and all the sounds were good and loud except the sounds I made, like firing my rifle/weapon, operating a tanks cannon, or firing a Machine gun from the hull of a AFV.

I can still hear the sounds I make, but there a low, really low. everything else is fine.

What happened? thx for any help

Pentium D 3.0 Ghz,
Geforce 7300
1.0 gig RAM
Windows Vista

It's really ruining the game for me.

Try staring steam, right-click on RO and choose "verify local content". That will make sure all your RO files are what they should be.

make sure in the configurations that the volume is set correct aswel ^^

I tried to verify local content, and the configurations are all the same when I had all sounds working.

No solution yet, the footsteps, when I fire my weapons, in vehicles or on foot, pretty much any sounds I make are so low I can barely hear them. Yet everyother sound around me is fine... what gives???

It is a difficult time for sound cards + Vista at the moment.
What sound card do you have?

I Am not sure which sound card I have srry, I will have to look it up.

This really sucks because it takes the immersion right out of the game for me.

Is eax on? maybe some eax settings of your soundcard got changed.

Ya I used EAX before it was fine, I tried the other options as well. I changed nothing that i know of, just one day i played and the sound was the way I described it... very strange. has anyone else experienced this problem?

Go under my programs / accesories / system tools / system information

Choose components, then sound device.

That will name your sound card, then I'd make sure you have the latest drivers for it.

Sound card is Realtek High definition audio.

It says status is OK.

Endorphin you were right the sound card drivers were out of date... now the sound is back to normal.
