As the topic title says, take artillery out of the map or at least limit it to very low numbers.

Seriously, it completely ruins the dynamic of the map. Most of the time we're dying fresh out of the spawn zones from arty shots. It's frustrating and makes a brilliant CQC map completely useless.

arty was needed for the map when i first released it cause people did not know how to attack the map and were stuck into the trenches. It can be reduced to 1 strike maybe or radio can be desactivated from command post to reduce village killing.

A Bad arty strike can ruin any map, it's more a player problem not a map one :)

That may be, but the map is structured so that artillery usage is severly limited. The map is dominated by the large hill, upon which is the Command Post objective. From the base of this hill, this is one of a few ideal artillery targets and unfortunately, to call arty on it puts the strikes dangerously close to the paths of the advancing Soviet soldiers; since the being in the cap zone for this objective means being very close in the range of arty. Since the artillery caller has no line of sight to the area past the objective where the Germans must rush thru to get to the objective, the only real option the Squad Leader has is to call the arty onto the objective itself.

This is how all the TKing occured when I was playing the map; when the arty cleared the zone from Germans, the advancing Soviet soldiers were also taken out by the arty because being in the cap zone put them so dangerously close to the arty strike.

In that sense, it's a map problem.

but maybe it should not always be easy for a commander to put arty to break out the defense. There is at least 3 or4 easy targets to set up arty, but commanders need to get out of the trenches to put it.
It's an old military problem, when you attack a hill, too close it's dangerous for your team, too far it's useless.

If you want a tip, the right edge is perfect to call arty strike, it has a good view above the ruins. but if you sure put arty right onto the command post, you will sure have many trouble to cap it.
