Game crash after ~ 15-20 minutes of running RO

Hey all.

I am getting lots of crashes these days when playing RO. Most of them happen after around 15 to 20 minutes of playing RO. At times I can play for quite a bit longer, up to an hour.

CPU/GPU/RAM temperature doesn't seem to be a problem, although I can not garantee that it isn't.

Build RedOrchestra_Build_[2005-11-27_10.48]
OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: GenuineIntel PentiumPro-class processor @ 1796 MHz with 1022MB RAM

Em, sorry, that might have sounded different from what I actually meant.

When I said that everything turned out to be fine, I meant that there were no errors and whatnot discovered when I ran the checks.

As a matter of fact though, I am still getting these errors. And if I am not getting error messages like the one I pasted in my first post, I get a complete system hangup.

Sorry for not having been clear enough. It only appeared unclear to me after your post.

I get this sometimes too. Might have something to do with virtual memory. Try setting it to let windows manage the min/max values and see if you stop getting the error (go to control panel, system, virtual memory). Then if that works set a Min/Max that are the same and about 1.5 times your RAM. Or just keep increasing it till you stop getting the error. RO loves its virtual memory for some reason..even with 2 gigs of ram it still only uses about 550 of it for me

Well, I sadly have to inform you that within 10 minutes the game crashed. This time, as about during half of the crashes, it didn't give me an error message, but went straight to a black screen - where nothing helped but a reboot.

I got all the latest drivers installed. Chipset, Audio, you name it.

There is only one thing I can try right away: I noticed that in this post: http://www.redorchestragame.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16447 the user is using the Omega graphic drivers, and seems to get just about the same error messages.

I'll throw them off, and install the official driver again, to try whether this is of any help.

Same problem with another game

Same problem with another game

Hi,

I'm a newbie concerning RO and this appears to be my first post in this forum :)

Anyway, I had the same problem with another game. In fact two other games. Totaly random craches, sometimes blue screens, sometimes error messages, sometimes plain system hangups... Your problem sounds just the same.

I tried two different ATI videos - same **** again. Tried to update drivers, clean install, everything. No effect.

I threw them away and bought a G-force. No problem since then. So, hope it doesn't sound like a commercial, but ATI is not the right choice for some mainboards...
