OK, recently my SDK was playing up (may have been patch related, may not) and I was getting loads of weird graphics issues with the viewports so I copied and saved my maps and deleted the lot, hoping to reinstall - tried to do so and run the SDK jobbie the first time to compile it (or whatever) and got this critical error:
