When Trumpets Fade is such a low grade movie. I got it with a bundle of ww2 movies and I must say that the acting was bad but there were some enjoyable parts.

the acting was better than any of the Star Wars films so that's a start. It wasn't a huge movie, but the plot was interesting and there were some very interesting moments. It also offers a bit of a unique pespective, mainly in the area of battlefield promotions.

I have not seen that one, but I feel the same way about "The Thin Red Line" I thought it was way too melodramatic and poorly written, acted, and Filmed. Stink-Fest crap film that it was. I am patiently waiting for Clint Eastwoods' "Flags of Our Fathers" about the Battle for Iwo Jima. This one should be Good.

Yeah Thin Red Line lacked action at some points but I thought it was a great movie, A lot of sitting,waiting,and talking bored a lot of people.

Aye, definitely one of the most powerful movies of late, the scenes where you see the child soldiers dieing around the 88 for a lost cause were pretty heart wrenching.The Soup Nazi said:

I really enjoyed Come and See, it was a really well done movie and one of the very few to show the actions of the Einsatzgruppen (sp?). I've only seen it once though, I downloaded it ages ago (but only because absolutely no movie store had it to rent anywhere over here) I might buy myself a copy.
